Located at the foot of the famous ski station of Oukaimden, the luxuriant Valley of Ourika rises gently up to the preliminary hills of the High Atlas where small typical villages have nested. It is a pure and magnificent place where silence is only " disturbed " by birds singing, water streams and wagtails. Ourika is famous for its pottery, minerals and crystals. this Beautiful valley in the Atlas mountain, with nice view points and small pisé villages inhabited by Berber tribes. Here is the famous Kasbah Toubkal where the movie "Seven years in Tibet" and "Kundun" was filmed, this was the Monastery. You can have lunch here and enjoy the incredible view of the mountains. The highest top is the Toubkal 4164m, which is also the highest mountain in North Africa. This Kasbah is a favorite place for many hikers, who like to explore the Atlas mountains. Join us for a one day tour to Oukaimeden . After breakfast we will drive you 2 hours to get to Oukaimeden, its 70km from Marrakech is Morocco’s ski resort! With a couple of button lifts and one chair lift that goes all the way to the top of the mountain, it’s a really fun day in the snow! Ski rental is available for 100 dirhams for skis, boots and poles, and an all day all lift pass costs 100 dirhams. If you don’t want to ski, you can rent snow boots and take the chair lift up the mountain for some stunning snow covered mountain scenery. Round trip on the chair lift for non-skiers is 25 dirhams. When you’re done with the snow, there are lots of delicious options for lunch. Local fare – tagines, brochettes etc, or Chez Juju, where you can have a 3-course meal, both Moroccan and international, for 165 dirhams. They also have wine, beer and hard liquor to warm you up! After breakfast we will drive you 3 hours to get to Ouzoud weterfull : This beautiful green, moist location in the front ranges of the high Atlas is a welcome relief to the heat and busy city of Marrakech. A day in nature 3 hours away. And if the weather is cool and rainy, even better! The falls swell with runoff and can be spctacular in the rain. The gorge below the falls is an endless series of pools that offer some fine day hikes with varying views up and down the valley. This future designated bioreserve is home to Barbary apes and makes for some interesting bird watching too. Nearby Berber villages in the surrounding mountains are perfect for walks any time of year, any kind of weather. Have lunch in one of the many terraced restaurants beside the falls, or just chill out with a glass of wine on a riad terrace overlooking the falls. This day involves walking on cliffside trails and stairs climbs. Not recommended in July and August.

After breakfast we will drive you 3 hours one way takes you to the gateway of Sahara, traversing the Tizi n'Tichka Pass of the High Atlas. The desert and steep mountain hillsides are clustered with fortified mud dwellings housing many families and their livestock. You'll spend the afternoon exploring the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, which has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road caravan routes, where traders brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. You may also visit Ouarzazate, and the Atlas film studios where films such as the Mummy, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia etc. have been filmed; or take a walk in oasis riverside gardens at Tamdaught village; or offroad to Teleouet where you'll visit the old Glaoui kasbah. This kasbah has an amazing story behind it, that is intrinsically linked to the formation of Morocco as a country. It was once a beautiful kasbah but now stands crumbling to ruins because no one wants to remember "the vulture" sultan and his son "Thami" who lived here until the 1950's; adds about 2 hours, including loo stops etc. Recommended year round.
